The shortest month of the year has come and gone but it was nonetheless a very good one here at mytalu.
We have been keeping ourselves busy on the product side with lots of exciting iterations and product development happening. As always, our aim is to build a product that end-users will love and that addresses key pain points in their day-to-day lives. As such we are constantly on the lookout for ways to improve what we are building and fine-tune the user experience. We have loved speaking to individuals about what we are trying to accomplish with mytalu and encourage anyone to get in touch if they would like to be involved in our early-user programme for our multi-currency accounts.
With our API product, our aim is to encourage a start-up ecosystem in Uganda, Zambia, and beyond, by providing a set of tools through our APIs to build innovative payment experiences for end-users. Centred around our wallets-as-a-service capabilities, we have been excited to hear about all the use cases the burgeoning entrepreneurs have identified and the creative solutions that have been devised. Please do ask the mytalu team about API documentation if you are a developer or entrepreneur with an exciting start-up idea that requires payment collection and management capabilities. There is so much potential for disruption as digital payments become the de facto way of moving money from one person to another.
Aside from product development, the team has been keeping the momentum going across social media channels and I, for one, have been enjoying the weekly quiz on a Friday to really test my financial knowledge. We hope you have been enjoying the posts that we have been sharing and please do keep on the lookout for future ones as well.
More broadly, it is great to see that fintech in Africa is still blooming and powering on despite the global economic downturn. There is definitive progress happening which is always fantastic and builds towards the ultimate goal of financial inclusion across the continent. Long may it continue.
