November has flown by at mytalu but there has still been plenty of milestones for TeamTalu to be proud of.
At the start of the month, the team attended the Africa Fintech Summit in Cape Town which gave us the chance to hear about what the future has in store for fintech in Africa from a wide range of panellists talking about many interesting topics. Definitely check out our other blog post which goes into depth about what the learnings were.
The team members in Uganda have been hard at work on the ground with marketing efforts. You can catch them at Kyambogo University this week to hear all about what we have in store for mytalu going forward and how you can get early access. It is a very exciting time and we welcome anyone to come and say hello!
The Tech team have been implementing lots of exciting new features to the app, and our testing sessions have helped us fine-tune the user experience to make sure we are creating the best possible product for our customers. It is like a dream come true to be able to use the app!
David Elliot Johnson, the CEO of mytalu, and Dan Edoma, the Head of Growth and Expansion, held a webinar last Tuesday where they discussed “The Future of Payments in Africa”. Thank you to everyone who tuned in to listen to that discussion. It was a great event and the two managed to cover a lot of ground and deep-dive into some very interesting topics. If you weren’t able to make the event, you can watch it on our YouTube channel. This is also where we will be posting lots more video content going forward so make sure you hit the subscribe button.
Across social media, we have lots going on including our weekly quiz. Plenty of you have been getting all the answers right and hopefully learning a thing or two along the way. The team have also been popping into various events throughout the month and will continue to do so in December as well. Keep following us on social media to keep up to date with events, webinars, quizzes and plenty of other content!
November has been fantastic and we look forward to what December has in store for mytalu – none of us can believe how quickly the year has gone by!
